Software Quality Assurance Engineer

The QA Engineer plays an important part in our client s product development and continuous improvement processes. The role will be responsible for conducting tests during the development process, supporting product releases, and post-release testing to ensure our client s software runs smoothly and meets regulatory and customer needs. The SQAE responsibilities will include developing & conducting test plans both manual & automated, debugging, and interfacing with the development team. The SQAE will also review system requirements and track quality assurance.

The ideal candidate has software quality assurance experience, is a self-starter, a master problem solver, with consulting experience, having a meticulous attention to detail, and is ultra-responsive.

Responsibilities

Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback

Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases

Estimate, prioritize, plan and conduct testing activities

Design, develop and execute automation scripts

Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs

Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs

Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system quality requirements

Monitor debugging process results

Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and assist in finding solutions

Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts

Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

Requirements

Proven work experience in software development

Proven work experience in software quality assurance

Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes

Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans, test cases and regulatory healthcare documents

Experience with XML and JSON a plus

Experience with secure FTP and Databases a plus

Hands-on experience with automated testing tools. AutoIT a plus.

Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting

Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus

Windows Deployment Services image creation and manipulation mandatory

Effective at working independently and in a virtual team setting

Soli level written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability and ability to work independently.
